ASK21
The ASK21 is probably the first glider type you’ll fly in, as it was designed for training and is very forgiving. It’s an extremely capable aircraft, nonetheless, and in it you can progress though the basic gliding syllabus and complete aerobatic badges. Army Gliding Club (Anglia) has two of these gliders.
- Crew: Two

- Wingspan: 17.0 m (55ft 9in)

ASK13
The ASK13, like the 21, is a very capable two-seat training glider. However, built in the 1960’s, the aircraft is from an earlier generation and it will highlight flaws in your flying which the ASK21 might hide.

- Max speed: 110 knots (120mph)

LS8-18
The LS8 is a high performance competition glider. It has interchangeable wing tips, allowing it to fly in either the18 m or Standard Class competition categories. Anglia has one, which experienced pilots can fly.

LS4
The LS4 is also a high-performance competition glider. This aircraft belongs in the Club Class category, and is available to all solo pilots after gaining experience as Pilot in Command in one of the training aircraft.

Discus
The Schempp-Hirth Discus is a Standard Class glider designed and produced in Germany between 1984 and 1995, continuing in production since in the Czech Republic. This aircraft is generally the first single-seat glider a solo pilot will convert to at Anglia.

SF-25C S Rotax Falke
Although this aircraft has a front mounted engine, it is still classed as a glider… a touring motor glider (TMG). Due to its long wingspan, the Falke has the ability to shut down its engine in flight and behave as a glider, which is excellent for training. This variant is also capable and used for aerotowing pure gliders using a long rope.
- Crew: 2
- Length: 7.60 m (24ft 11in)
